Dusherra – Symbolic of the Victory of Good over Evil

The revelry and merry-making of Dusherra festival in the premises of Jiva was very special and didactic in its celebration. The fecilitation conveyed the symbolic significance of Dusherra that good always triumphs over evil. The school celebrates all festivals with pomp and glory to instil cultural moral values in pupils. During the morning assembly each day of Navratra and its significance is informed through various aspects like discussions, skit or information via newspaper to enable students learn tradition and culture and its importance.

The students staged a short skit depicting the defeat of Ravana by Lord Rama. The skit conveyed the message that good always prevails over evil, no matter how deep and intense be the ills and evils in society. A Class IX student Saksham recited a poem describing Ravana’s character and his traits. It is a known fact that victory does not come easy and to eradicate evil from society it is necessary to first improve self and then the society. Therefore every one should follow Swadhyay religiously. Self change is very necessary for society change.

On the occasion the Chairman Shri Rishi Pal Chauhan and Director Mrs. Chander Lata Chauhan wished the staff and students. Shri Chauhan, in his address stated that evil could be uprooted from society, only if people follow Swadhyay and sincerely retrospect their own conscience. The Principal Mrs. Devina Nigam also wished the students and staff on the occasion.
