Orientation – A Joint Venture Programme at Jiva
An exemplary, orientation programme entitled ‘Bhagidari’ was conducted in the spawning school auditorium, for the new toddlers and their parents on 31 March. The chief objective of this programme was to apprise the parents of their significant role in the holistic development of their child. It also aimed that parents know and read the safety rules mentioned in the school diary, so that they could extend their cooperation in grooming the pupil.
One of the unique feature of this programme was to impart information through fun-filled one minute games where both the parents could participate. To begin with, the first in line was Bag Packing Activity in a minute, according to the time-table, inclusive of school diary, lunch box and the water bottle, and take care to remove risky objects like tooth pick, safety pen, needle or fork from the bag. The lunch box included healthy digestive food and a fruit. It was followed by a Quiz Contest, aiming to apprise the parents about the rules and instructions given in the school diary. The enthusiastic parents were too thrilled with their participation, at the same time realized the significance of Bhagidari. A puppet show, staged the daily routine and activities conducted during the teaching hours in school. It also represented the importance of parents cooperation in grooming their child.
Healthy Parenting Session was devised for the health care of the child. The parents were informed about the Body type Vata, Pitta and Kapha and the need to provide diet accordingly to restore health of their child. The Puppet Show also presented activities based on MI and MN. There were interesting games for parents based on MI and MN, which they enjoyed to extreme satisfaction and appreciated the schools efforts unreservedly.
